Shaka A. Scott

Biography

Shaka focuses his practice on health care law, including transactional and regulatory matters. He counsels physicians, dentists, insurance companies, and managed care organizations on structuring business transactions in compliance with federal laws and regulations, such as the Stark Law, fraud and abuse, and state laws and regulations applicable to the health care industry.

Beyond health care, Shaka has represented clients in all aspects of corporate matters, including counseling public and private companies on corporate governance, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial transactions. His experience also extends to advising clients on structuring and negotiating the issuance and sale of securities, joint ventures, asset sales, stock purchase transactions, licensing, and commercial transactions.
