Patent Agent

Biography

William is a patent agent whose work focuses on patent preparation and prosecution. He assists with various aspects of the patent process, including drafting applications and claims, preparing patentability reports, responding to Office Actions and compiling sequence listings. His approach is informed by both academic research and hands-on procedural experience.

While attending the University of Connecticut School of Law, William explored the evolving standards of patent eligibility, with a particular focus on the Alice/Mayo framework as applied to pharmaceutical diagnostics. Prior to law school, he spent eight years as a legal administrative assistant at Cosud IP, where he supported patent prosecution across a wide range of procedural tasks.

William holds a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of St. Joseph, where his research centered on drug design. His work included developing target libraries, conducting in silico ligand docking, and synthesizing compounds for structure-activity relationship testing.
