Biography
Brett supports clients in navigating the patent process, with a focus on patent preparation and prosecution. Drawing on his background in mechatronic and mechanical engineering, he brings a practical understanding of complex technologies, particularly in the areas of robotics, automation, and mechanical systems.
His work often involves translating innovative concepts into clear, well-structured patent applications and helping clients understand the nuances of patentability. Brett’s experience includes working with inventors and entrepreneurs to protect their ideas, from early-stage development through to filing and examination.
He also gained valuable experience in intellectual property law through his involvement with a university-based legal clinic, where he assisted individuals and small businesses with a range of IP matters. This foundation informs his collaborative approach and commitment to helping clients safeguard their innovations.
