Laura Holoubek is an equine industry attorney

Dinsmore equine industry partner Laura Holoubek has been appointed president of the board of directors for Equestrian Events, Inc.

The Kentucky-based nonprofit organization was established to develop the 1978 World Three-Day Event Championships at the Kentucky Horse Park. Following the success of those championships, the organization created an annual event that evolved into the Kentucky Three-Day Event. Held each spring, the event draws more than 80,000 spectators each year.

Holoubek has served on EEI’s board of directors since 2017.

EEI supports several local and equine charities and has donated more than $725,000 to various charities since 2011.

Holoubek is nationally recognized as a leader in equine and gaming law. She effectively steers clients through the myriad of evolving state and federal regulations that govern the industry. Representing owners, breeders, trainers, purchasers, sellers, racetracks and trade associations, she draws on her passion for the equine industry to counsel clients in equine deals, partnerships, tax and resolution of controversies.

She chaired the University of Kentucky College of Law's Annual National Equine Law Conference for six years and is an adjunct professor of Law at the University of Kentucky, teaching Equine Law.
