Dinsmore Attorneys Elected as American Board of Trial Advocates Officers

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP attorneys were elected to lead the Cincinnati Chapter of The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Dr. Frank Woodside was sworn in as the President of the local ABOTA Chapter, and Mike Eagen will serve as the Vice-President.

The American Board of Trial Advocates is an invitation only, national association educating the American public about the history and value of the right to trial by jury. The members of ABOTA educate and improve the standards of practice. ABOTA requires its members to be responsible for elevating the standards of integrity, honor, ethics, civility and courtesy in the legal profession.

Dr. Frank Woodside is a Partner Of Counsel at Dinsmore. Dr. Woodside’s extensive litigation experience includes Fortune 500 companies, health care providers and hospitals. His experience includes serving as national trial counsel and MDL counsel for Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals in the Bendectin birth defect litigation; Procter & Gamble in the Rely tampon/toxic shock syndrome litigation and Denture Adhesive litigation; Dow Corning Corporation in the silicone gel breast implant litigation; and Rugby Laboratories in the Fen-Phen litigation.

Mike Eagen is a Partner in Dinsmore’s the Litigation Department. Mike has extensive litigation experience in the areas of personal injury, property damage, product liability, professional malpractice, insurance coverage, toxic torts, commercial law and mass torts. He has been primary trial counsel for trials in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania with more than 60 cases tried to verdict or judgment. He has served as a state and federal court appointed arbitrator and mediator.
