Robert H. Eichenberger

Biography

Robert focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, including patent licensing and enforcement, mechanical and electromechanical patent prosecution, patent opinions, and due diligence. His engineering background enables him to have a thorough understanding of his clients’ innovations, particularly medical implant technologies, consumer appliances, heavy equipment, and power tools.

He has represented all sorts of clients ranging from individual inventors to global corporations in all aspects of intellectual property procurement and enforcement. Working with corporate counsel, he routinely handles the intellectual property due diligence side of mergers and acquisitions. He has handled numerous inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), including conducting the oral arguments before both the PTAB and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Clients rely on Robert’s sound judgment and practical advice, as well as his technical background and depth of experience to help protect their innovations and reach their business objectives.
